The following announcement appeared recently in the ASNR website:
The ASNR and the WFITN and its related societies have agreed on a collaborative effort between the American Journal of Neuroradiology and their journal, Interventional Neuroradiology (INR). This collaboration will help strengthen the position of AJNR as the world’s premier clinical neuroimaging journal. INR will offer our contributors the possibility of submitting a greater number of articles of all types for publication in both journals. While AJNR’s subscriber base resides mostly in North America and Western Europe, INR enjoys wide popularity in Asia, Oceania and Eastern Europe. Consolidation of resources in the highly specialized area of interventional neuroradiology will benefit, scientifically and economically, both journals and their readers. Later this year, changes in both journals should become evident to our readers. Both the editor in chief of AJNR (Dr. Mauricio Castillo) and editor-designate of INR (Dr. Karel ter Brugge) will begin working together immediately to further enhance both publications and strengthen their global presence.
