Burchiel KJ. Handbook of Pain Surgery. Thieme; 2017; 400 pp; 132 ill; $79.99
This softcover, 400-page book edited by Dr. Kim Burchiel from the University of Oregon, with contributions from 41 other authors, would hold limited interest to radiologists; however, because neuroradiologists are often part of teams that deal with central or peripheral pain, areas of this book would hold some interest to those in our field. While not recommended as a purchase for neuroradiologists, it is worthwhile to note that such a short book exists (perhaps on the shelf of a colleague in neurosurgery or anesthesiology) in the event that one wants to read about certain conditions and their management.
