Neurosurgeon with Spine Experience
Due to continued growth, the University of Virginia Department of Neurosurgery is creating a Community Practice Division and recruiting a neurosurgeon with spine experience to develop our Northern Virginia practice.
Our position is located at Haymarket Medical Center, in Haymarket, Virginia and will offer the opportunity to collaborate with our existing neurosurgeons and have their full support for clinical care and academic pursuits.
The Haymarket practice will be fully elective with no call, and the option of bringing more complex cases to UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville. The incumbent will develop and direct the UVA Novant Spine Center, including integration of inpatient hospitalists, outpatient neurologists, pain management, physical therapy and other resources.
Candidates must have a MD or DO and completion of a residency in neurological surgery, and be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurosurgery. Candidates must have significant surgical experience and spine fellowship training is preferred.
The University of Virginia Department of Neurosurgery combines innovative technology, world-renowned physicians and a team-based approach to diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the nervous system. The department includes 13 neurosurgeons and 14 midlevel providers, covering the full range of neurological disorders.
Haymarket is 1.5 hours to Charlottesville and less than 30 minutes to major suburbs of Washington, DC and Washington Dulles airport.
