Open faculty position at Stanford for July

The Division of Neuroimaging & Neurointervention in the Department of Radiology at Stanford University is searching for a full-time neuroradiologist who will work evening/night shifts every other week, with a small number of day shifts, and with participation in the neuroradiology call pool. The incumbent will work closely with the evening and night shift radiology residents and neuroradiology fellows. The position will be at the Clinical Instructor level in the Clinician Educator Line. The major criteria for appointment for Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care and clinical teaching appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

The successful candidate will mainly contribute his/her clinical expertise at Stanford Hospital & Clinics, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, and VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS). The position will also involve teaching to Stanford medical students, residents and fellows.

Candidates must be ABR-certified radiologists who have completed an ACGME-approved fellowship in Neuroradiology and who are Neuroradiology CAQ-certified or eligible. Proficiency with neuroradiology procedure skills is expected. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clinicians, patients, and trainees are required. The Division of Neuroimaging & Neurointervention at Stanford has leaders in all aspects of neuroradiology, including Interventional Neuroradiology and advanced applications of non-invasive imaging of the brain, spine, and head and neck. The focus of the Division of Neuroimaging & Neurointervention is to perform clinical neuroradiology at the highest level, to engage in important and novel research, and to train the future leaders in academic neuroradiology.
