The American Journal of Neuroradiology welcomed Lubdha M. Shah, MD, as a Senior Editor on May 1st. Dr. Shah will be taking over the vacancy left by Pamela W. Schaefer, MD, who ended her term as Senior Editor after more than 13 years of dedicated service to the Journal.
Dr. Shah will oversee functional, advanced imaging, and spine submissions. She is Associate Professor of Radiology and serves as the Director of Advanced Spine Imaging at the University of Utah Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences in Salt Lake City. She completed her neuroradiology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center. Her research interests include clinical application of advanced imaging techniques, encompassing functional MRI and diffusion tensor imaging in the brain and spine. Dr. Shah has served on the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke K-Award Study Section for more than 6 years. In addition to reviewing for several radiology, neuroradiology, and neurosurgery journals, she holds the role of a Neuroradiology Panel Chair in the American College of Radiology and has authored Appropriateness Criteria and Practice Parameter Guidelines. Dr. Shah is currently Vice-President of the American Society of Spine Radiology.
